Ajax Motion Protect Outdoor Hood

Protective cover for the AJAX MotionProtect Outdoor. For use when installing external PIR outdoors and not under any immediate cover.

Whilst the elements can't damage the unit within its operating temperature range ( -25°C to 60°C), it is recommended that these be installed with the Hood to protect its sensors from physical masking from rain or snow.

This is due to anti-masking technology that's also built into the external PIRs to detect when its sensors have been covered, taped over or painted. Covering these sensors in rain or snow can intefere with the performance of this feature potentially raising false alarms in severe weather conditions.
