Hikvision G2-ISU/SL Configuration

Available in both bullet and turret variations, 4MP & 8MP, Hikvision's latest G2-ISU/SL cameras are equipped with Acusense, DARKFIGHTER, strobe light, siren, alarm input/outputs, audio input/outputs and 2-way audio.

In today's blog we cover how to setup the 2 way audio and configuration of the light & siren via the web interface.

The light & sound alarm configuration is also covered in our latest video. Click here to view!

Light & Siren Configuration

Firstly you will need to log into the camera. If the camera is on the network you will be able to log into the camera's local IP (e.g 192.168.1.90).
If the camera is plugged directly into the NVR you will need to log into the NVR and enable 'Virtual Host' via Configuration > Network > Advanced Settings > Other > Tick 'Enable Virtual Host' and click 'Save'

Hikvision NVR Enable Virtual Host

Once enabled, navigate to System > Camera Management and click the link in the 'Connect' column to take you to the login page for the camera.

Configure Event Triggers for the Light and Siren

Once logged into the camera navigate to Configuration > Event > Basic/Smart Event and configure the events as you would normally. With the new G2's having Acusense technology enabling Human form & Vehicle detection you can limit what can trigger events to help reduce false alarm notifications even further, simply tick the relevant detection target.

Acusense Options

Once configured select Linkage Method and tick 'Flashing Alarm' to enable the strobe light and tick 'Audible Warning' for the siren. Handily these are independent of each other!
