Wi-Tek Cloud Manager Setup
This guide will show you how to setup your Wi-Tek cloud manager account and how to add a wireless access point and enable remote management tunnel.
Account Setup & Obtaining your binding code
Step 1 – Register a Cloud account with Wi-Tek
Open your internet browser and navigate to cloud.wireless-tek.com and click Register.
Step 2 – Enter your email address and a password for your account. Accept the terms and click Register. You will then receive an email to confirm your account. Once activated you will be able to login to your dashboard.
Step 3 – Obtain your unique binding code by navigating to System > My Account or by clicking the Unique Code button at the top of the dashboard home screen.
Step 4 – You will now see your unique binding code for your account at the top of the page.
This code is what you need to bind Wi-Tek devices to your account.
Binding an AP to your account
Note – During the initial binding process you will need to have direct access to the AP on the local network.
Step 1 – Login to the IP address of the AP.
The defaults are:
IP Address: 192.168.1.88
Step 2 – Enable cloud management by clocking Cloud in the top right.
You will be asked to confirm the change and the AP may restart.
Step 3 – Add your unique binding code to the AP by navigating to Cloud on the left-hand side and pasting in your binding code in the respective box. You can also name the AP to make cloud management easier and add location information to be able to see on the map view from the cloud management dashboard.
After clicking Save/Apply, you may need to wait 5 to 10 minutes for the device to show in your cloud dashboard.
Enabling the remote management tunnel
Once the AP shows up in your cloud account you can enable the remote management tunnel connection to be able to login to the AP when you are no longer connected to the same network as the AP.
Step 1 - Click AP List on the left-hand side.
Step 2 – Click the InfoMessage button for the respective AP.
Step 4 – Scroll down the page and under Service click purchase Tunnel. This will then generate a domain link direct to your AP.
Setting up the tunnel connection may take some time to become fully functional, clicking Sync Tunnel can help speed this process up. If you get an error when initially using this domain link, wait and try again later.
Step 5 – Once the Tunnel is fully functional you can click the link and be taken directly to the login page of the AP, enabling you to manage it as if you were on site.
